Pretty!

Well my missing gift card from Christmas turned up. And with it came the choices. What to do with all of that money. This is one of the two times of year that I know I have to spend my money on me. Let's just say that if I don't relatives will hunt me down if they found out.

So.....

I picked up a set of these. Just look at how pretty the rainbow wood ones are! Due to how bad my hands are in the winter and the issues I've been having with bamboo (even though I love it to death!) splintering. I decided that the temptation was too much and decided to try the harmony wood knitting needles. Ant pictures taken can not do these pretty things justice! These bad boys are now the pride and joy of my knitting stash. I's testing out the size 4 points right now. It's so weird to be knitting with something smaller then a size 8. :o

Yes I have been that deprived. Right now I am trying to figure out if I can do a pair of socks on my size 4's. I *SO* want a pair of socks that no one else in the house can confuse as their's. I want my own special socks. Hell, it would be nice to have socks that fit my big feet and long legs the right way period. Nothing store made fits me right!

Yes I am on the hunt for a sock pattern. long socks, short socks it doesn't matter! I want socks! *muahahahahahahahaha*

Up and running again.

Alright life has been weird. Trying to balance myself, a SN kiddo with SDI and all the fun that comes with that and my own health issues has been more then I had placed my money on it being.

the year is new and I'm trying to pick up my pace again.

This year my goal is to get my spinning caught up before the shearing season hits, and then keep on top of it. I also want to start using up my current yarn stash and to get to using what I spin up. Today with one of my christmas gift cards I bought a book called 'knit kimono' by Viki Square.
I thought about picking up 'hand knit holidays' but it would have been more then my gift card would allow for. (I'm going to go back and pick it up once I find the gift card that the kids seem to have taken off with.) I liked the solistice table runner that was in the book! Not to mention the tree ornaments. I could really clean out some of my scrap balls of yearn with those little bad boys!

Right now I'm planning to spin up a bunch of my llama wool and knit it into some nice warm kimonos. The power prices are all wacked out and we've had to turn the heat down. That doesn't work well for me since I get cold *really* easy.

So that is where things stand.

In the mean time I've been doing a liot of writing. I might talk about that later. But now I have to get a move on on my current knitting project from the winter issue of Knitter's. I'm working on 'all aboard'. ;)
